Privacy Policy

• Account details. Your email address, sign-in information, and a name if you add one.
• Entries and settings. State Map check-ins, scans, ratings, reflections and notes, exercise responses, Pre-Market ratings, debriefs, trade outcomes you log, chart pictures you attach to a STRAY, values, assessment answers, and the timestamps and settings attached to them. Entries are self-reported: they describe what you chose to record at a particular time.
• Things you choose to send us. Feedback, reviews and your publication choice, where you heard about Steadied, and the reminder channels you turn on. Feedback and screenshots posted in our Discord community are copied into our records too.
• Requests from the public website. The email address you give to receive the State Map, and the details you enter to request access.
• Billing. Stripe processes payments, and card numbers never reach Steadied. We keep your subscription status and the payment references needed to manage billing.
• Technical information. Request logs (including IP address and browser) and error reports, which can include your account ID. A sample of sessions, and every session with an error, is recorded as a masked screen recording that hides all text and images.
• Public website analytics. Plausible counts visits and selected actions on public pages without analytics cookies. Private app pages, email addresses, account IDs and entries are never sent.

Steadied never connects to your brokerage. Photos you add to your Home screen stay on your device. Chart pictures you attach to a STRAY are stored privately with your account, and deleting your account deletes them. We do not buy data about you or use advertising trackers.

To run the service: show your readings, trends and exercises; draft in-app content; run the safety screen; send the reminders and emails you ask for, and an occasional email asking for your feedback, which you can stop from its own link; manage billing; answer support; and keep the service secure and working. We also use public-page analytics and the optional discovery answer to understand how people find Steadied, and publish a review only with your separate permission.

Where your local law asks for a legal basis: providing the service you signed up for; meeting tax law for billing records; our legitimate interest in a secure, working service and in asking account holders what would improve it; and your consent for optional emails, testimonials and the discovery answer, which you can withdraw at any time.

AI. Nothing you write in your entries or notes is sent to an AI model. A few features send structured values derived from your entries, such as counts of recent check-ins, the values you chose and categories from your assessment, plus the first name on your profile for written summaries, to Anthropic's Claude API to draft in-app content. We also use Claude to help handle support email and feedback posted in our Discord community. We never use your entries to train AI models, and Anthropic does not train on data sent through its API.

Your entries are not labels. Readings and patterns describe what you reported. They are not conclusions about who you are or a diagnosis.

Human access. The operator has the database access needed to run the service. We do not routinely read entries; we look only to answer a support request, fix a problem, address a security issue, or follow up a safety-screen match.

Security. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting and database providers, and backups are encrypted.

Free text you save in the app is checked automatically, inside Steadied, for language associated with a risk of serious harm. If it matches, the app may pause access for a time and show crisis resources. The operator of Steadied is notified with your account email and the matched phrase, can read the flagged entry, and may reach out. If you answer the follow-up check-in that you are still struggling, the operator is notified again.

The screen is imperfect and is not real-time monitoring or an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call or text 988 in the United States, or contact local emergency services. If a pause looks like a mistake, write to support@steadied.app.

Our hosting and database providers, an email delivery service, a support mailbox, an error-reporting service, Plausible for public-page analytics, Stripe for payments, and Anthropic for the AI features above. If you turn them on, your browser's push service and Telegram deliver reminders. Each receives only what its job requires.

We disclose information beyond these only where the law requires it or to protect someone's safety. If Steadied is ever transferred, this policy keeps applying and you will be told before anything changes.

Reviews are private. With your separate permission we may publish your review and chosen display name on the Steadied website; your email and private entries are never shown. You can withdraw permission in Settings → Account, or by writing to support. Withdrawal removes it from the website from then on, but cannot recall copies others made.

We keep your information while your account exists. Delete your account yourself in Settings → Account, and its entries, settings, reviews and in-app feedback are deleted. While access is paused, deletion is unavailable; write to support@steadied.app instead. Some records remain:

• Safety-screening records. If the screen ever matched something you wrote, that event is kept with the link to your account removed. It holds the text that triggered it, the matched phrase, the category, the date, and whether the pause was lifted. The text can still identify you, so we do not call it anonymous.
• Billing records. If you subscribed, kept for seven years for tax and accounting, with the link to your account removed. Stripe can still match the payment references to you.
• A one-time copy from August 2026. Records of accounts that existed on August 19, 2026 are held in a copy made that day while we finish reviewing it. Deleting your account does not reach it yet; ask support@steadied.app to remove yours.
• Backups and other records. Encrypted backups expire within 90 days. Discord feedback is not linked to your account and stays until you ask us to remove it. Logs, support email and a few operational records follow their own schedules; ask support@steadied.app to remove anything of yours.

• Export. Settings → Account includes a self-service JSON download of your entries. For anything it does not include, ask support.
• Correct or delete. Edit in the app where you can, ask support for the rest, or delete your account in Settings.
• Optional things. Change or remove your discovery answer, turn off any reminder channel, withdraw review permission, or ask us to stop product emails.
• Analytics. Our Plausible integration respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.
• Your legal rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object or restrict processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Write to support@steadied.app; we may confirm your identity first.

Your account and entries are stored in the United States. Using Steadied from another country means your information is transferred there. Some providers process in other places.

Steadied is for adults 18 and over. If we learn we hold information from someone younger, we delete it.

We update the effective date when this policy changes, and tell you by email or in the app before a material change takes effect.
